The LAROCHE team has just accomplished their third grape harvest at the Domain L’Avenir in South Africa. This year harvest, which has only finished, has given us very good signs for a good vintage 2008.

The success of the grape varieties Chardonnay, Chenin, Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage has progressed since last year which was slightly deficient in volume. 2008 is a very promising year supplying us with a lot of fruit and aromatic intensity.

Tinus Els, our winemaker and director of the domain, is delighted with the third harvest. “ It is by far the best harvest since 2006 which was the very first in our experience. We have never seen such a beautiful quality of yields. With this we can produce an excellent vintage. The Pinotage in particular is very promising!”
