L’Avenir Grand Vin Pinotage

Pinotage is South Africa’s emblematic grape variety, the country’s signature wine.
Pinotage is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, they are wines of impressive stature and l’Avenir is always amongst the leaders for this varietal. We felt compelled to further perfect this already established reputation.
No great wine without a perfect grape: it is therefore naturally the best parcels on the estate, cultivated with the gobelet method (free-standing), that are dedicated to the production of Pinotage Grand Vin.
Productivity control, optimal ripeness, meticulous sorting of the grape, 12 months maturing in French oak barrel, renewed for 1/3 each year, bring the desired quality.
Full, rich, intense, complex and balanced, where the blackberry flavours flirt with those of cocoa and tobacco, with a great finish and an ageing potential of over ten years, this unique wine deserves to appear amongst the greatest.

L’Avenir Pinotage

Pinotage, the emblematic grape variety of South Africa. Rich, intense, complex and endowed with a memorable and lasting finish. Intense purple in colour bursting with flavours of plum and cherry. A ripe tannic structure and well balanced. An aromatic persistence notably cherry and mocha.

L’Avenir Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon delivers all its potential of richness and delicacy. A wine complete and perfectly balanced and capable of aging for numerous years. Deep garnet in colour with flavours of blackcurrant, dry fruits and vanilla. Intense and seasoned. An elegant wine endowed with a perfectly tannic structure.

L’Avenir Merlot

Intense ruby in colour. Flavours of blackcurrant, cherry and chocolate. Well balanced. Ample and silky with ripe tannins. Serve at 14°C.

L’Avenir Stellenbosh Classic

This wine is an assembly of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Pinotage. The perfectly ripe tannins blend to make a wine elegant and harmonious. Potent and well balanced. A colour of deep garnet and flavours full of blackcurrants, cherries and chocolate. Open, silky and supple.

L’Avenir Chardonnay

A brigtht yellow green with fresh aromas of lemons and ripe peaches. A rich aromatic experience. Perfectly balanced and lightly oaked. Serve at 10°c

L’Avenir Chenin Blanc

A Grape variety emblematic to South Africa who has the perfect dry, sunny climatic conditions for this particular grape. It is harvested in full maturity and presents a perfect richness and equilibrium. Pale yellow in colour with a intense and fruity palate and of ripe pineapples. Round, ample and rich in the mouth. Serve at 10°C.

L’Avenir Sauvignon Blanc

The cool climate caused by the nearness of the ocean brings a certain vivacity to this wine displayed in the delicate aromas. Bright gold with green reflects. In the mouth, zest of orange, guava with notes of white pepper. Lively, refreshing and citrus endowed with a perfect equilibrium. Serve at 10°C.

By favouring local grape varieties, Chenin and Pinotage, and by letting them express themselves in the most natural way possible, by working the European grape varieties across the whole western Cape area, by creating a Rosé de saignée from the Pinotage, Laroche selects a collection of wines bottled at L’Avenir.
Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot are also available.
